Ice Skating Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to reserve an ice skating session at Vintner Wonderland?
Yes. Reserve your 90-minute skating session at Vintner Wonderland in advance. Capacity is limited, and advance booking helps secure your preferred date and time.
Can I bring my own ice skates to Vintner Wonderland?
Yes. You may bring your own figure skates or hockey skates. Rental skates are also available for an additional fee.
How early should I arrive for my ice skating session?
Please arrive 15–30 minutes before your scheduled session with your signed waiver. Allow time to check in, rent skates and lace up so you’re ready to step onto the ice when your session begins. All sessions have fixed start and end times. Late arrivals or delays getting onto the ice do not extend your session.
What happens if I arrive late for my ice skating session?
Your ticket is valid only for your reserved session’s scheduled start and end times. Arriving late or getting onto the ice after the session begins does not extend your skating time. Additional time will not be provided.
Can I leave the rink and return during my session?
Yes! You may leave and return during your scheduled session, but rental skates must remain in the rink’s designated bullpen area. Please allow time to remove your skates and put them back on, as your session’s end time will remain the same.
Can beginners skate?
Absolutely. We have 6 Dolphin Skate Aids available for free based on availability. Younger skaters should be accompanied by an adult on the ice. Every person skating needs a ticket and a completed waiver; a parent or guardian must sign for anyone under 18.
What happens if the ice rink closes because of weather?
Skating sessions take place rain or shine. The outdoor rink closes when ice conditions are unsafe. If your session is canceled, your pre-purchased tickets can be transferred to a new date of your choice.
Are skate rentals included in my session ticket?
No. Skate rentals cost extra and are paid for at the admissions booth. Skates are available in sizes from youth 9 to men’s 13, based upon availability. You may also bring your own figure skates or hockey skates.
Are ice skating tickets refundable?
Online ticket purchases are non-refundable. To request consideration for a refund, please email
[email protected]. Requests are reviewed individually, and approval is not guaranteed. Refunds cannot be processed at the box office.
Does every skater need to complete a waiver?
Yes. Every skater must complete an online waiver before entering the ice. A parent or guardian must sign for skaters under 18. We recommend completing your waiver before you arrive to avoid delays getting on the ice at your scheduled start time.
Are lockers available for personal belongings?
